In the Child's Best Interest

A legal technicality sent Donnie and DeAnne Fitts to a Houston court seeking to adopt Justin and Jacob Baker - again. Twelve jurors agreed that outcome would be the best for the children. Judge Bill Henderson didn't quite see it that way.

"They are my kids. I'm sure they would love me, if they knew who I was," he said.

Two days later, Baker was arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. His girlfriend says they argued after she asked Brendon to move out of her apartment, and he held a knife at her throat and threatened to kill her before stabbing a neighbor who was attempting to intervene. After his bond was set at $30,000 and as he was preparing to go back to jail, Brendon said he was worried the arrest would destroy his chances of ever getting his boys back. But he was not guilty of the charges. "It was an accident,"he said.

A psychological bond is stronger than a biological one? You people are NUTS. Adopters who believe this nonsense are deluded, deranged wack jobs and have no business adopting. They mean THEIR needs and wants trump any one else's and that is dangerous ground to walk on.

Winnell Byrd was a baby broker who cared nothing of the lives she destroyed with her deciet and greediness. She touted my son's adopters (and I am certain all of the adopters who paid her well for their adopted children) as loving people who wanted an open adoption... when in reality they only wanted to get their hands on my baby and wish me obliterated. These loving "Christians" promised me an Open Adoption, only to reneg of their promise of correspondence of updates until my child turned 18. What do they do? Move, cut off all contact with me after only 7 years and then proceed to brainwash my child that God chose him for them, while I suffered endlessly not knowing if my child was even dead or alive for 12 years. I guess those good, loving "Christians" forgot about the woman who made it all possible for them, and I guess their god did too. As for Winnell Byrd... I heard she died of a heart attack. I hope she is rotting in hell. I hope my son's adopters do too. By the way... my son believes them, not me. So much for incubator, breeding machine birthmommy, huh.
