Mia X -- Salt-n-Pepa tanked big-time with their last album. Queen Latifah and MC Lyte are barely registering on the hype-o-meter with theirs. You know the state of female rap is in trouble when the soon-to-be-released new album from ghetto nymphet Foxy Brown is the most highly anticipated female rap album in some time. At least we still have Mia X to preserve weighty girl power on the hip-hop scene. The sole sista in Master P's No Limit cartel, Mia X has proven time and time again that she can throw down with the best of 'em and still stay as feminine as a Secret commercial. And now that her second album, Mama Drama, is out in stores, people can pick up a copy and fully realize just what kind of skills this lady has. And she doesn't have to appear on the cover of Vibe wearing a Reynolds Wrap bikini to prove it! Mia X and the No Limit Family perform Friday, December 19, 7:30 p.m., at the Health and Physical Education Arena, Texas Southern University, 3100 Cleburne. 629-3700. (Craig D. Lindsey)
