Looking for a little purification after all the sinning going on at last night's S&M gig? Mercury Baroque's "Christmas Mass and Gloria"might offer some redemption. Charpentier's Mass is a gentle but upbeat soundtrack to the birth of baby you-know-who, while Vivaldi's Gloria is the big booming 12-movement choral piece that's become a Christmas staple. Both holidayclassics will be performed by a four-part chorus, soloists and a baroque orchestra playing on period instruments.
