If you've somehow missed Houston indie rockers Satin Hooks, who have rocked nearly every small live-music venue in town for the past two years, you're in luck. Today, they'll showcase their electronic shrouds, heavy rock successions and turbulent breakdowns; it's a sound reminiscent of the Wipers, Kurt Cobain's idols. The band has racked up a legion of followers around Texas, and their MySpace site has garnered more than 36,000 song downloads. Now that's cred. Though these Hooks are smooth, their show promises to be a hard kick in the gut.
