Everybody in tha Chamber

Chances are you're probably not too familiar with David Campbell's repertoire. But if you've seen Amadeus, Titanic, Harry Potter, Showgirls, Mr. Holland's Opus, Apollo 13 or a few of the Batman or James Bond films, you've heard his signature sounds. The worldwide clarinet phenom (didn't know there was such a thing, didya?), who's been called "the finest player of his generation," takes the stage today with the Houston Chamber Orchestra for the Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra by Texas composer Charles Fitts. Also listen for Campbell's rendition of Mozart's Concerto for Clarinet in A Major, the tune that jerked a few tears in Out of Africa.
