Songwriter Buddy Mondlock has worked with everybody from Garth Brooks to Nanci Griffith to Peter, Paul and Mary to Art Garfunkel to Janis Ian. He also counts Guy Clark as a member of his booster club. Like many of our finer songwriters, he garners more attention in Europe than in the States, where he hardly fits any radio format that isn't being bounced from the most distant satellites. His oft-covered songs are micro-miniatures, ornately drawn cameos that catch the minutest character trait and emotional nuance. It's no wonder he's a perennial main-stage regular at Kerrville.
