Infused Beats

In today's clubs, the job of executing good dance music usually falls to the DJ, who's in charge of segueing the right songs that will keep people out on the floor. The rare bird of dance music is an actual band, like Melbourne's Infusion. Also called "Australia's Best Live Act," the electronic trio will play today at Dean's and Clark's. Their sound could be best described as a cross between Depeche Mode and Swayzak, full of dark electro synth chords and breaks. It's all accented by front man Jaime Stevens's vocals, which, amid a tableau of electronics, should play well for live music and dance fans. Some of H-town's most versatile DJs, such as Sean Carnahan, Derek Howell, Urban Gravity and Lizandro Campos, start off this night of dance at 9 p.m.
Fri., March 31, 9 p.m.
