You may not have heard of Dr. Dorothy I. Height, but she has changed your life. This patron saint of civil rights mentored one Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (You may have heard of him.) Height, who helped brainstorm many protests during MLK's era, received the Congressional Medal of Honor in 2004 for her lifetime commitment to human rights. Her rather large role in changing the course of American history is celebrated inIf This Hat Could Talk: A Musical of Passion, Power and Triumph, which opens today. Part history lesson and part patriotic, toe-tapping musical, the show chronicles the civil rights movement's milestones and introduces key historical figures like MLK, JFK and others, all seen through Height's eyes. Meet the lady who made Martin more kingly at 8 p.m.
April 11-16, 8 p.m.
