Texas singer-songwriter Ruthie Fosterowes much of her fan base and critical following to her live performances. At once folksy, bluesy and poppy, Foster works any room — big or small — like it's a just-for-you show. So it's a smart move by her label, Blue Corn Music, to release Stages, a collection of 14 Foster tunes recorded live in Houston, Austin and Boston. Today, Foster will serenade fans with such favorites as "Crossover" and "Another Rain Song" at Sam Houston Race Park. Enjoy the live show, then take the CD home and relive it.
