While you may think one way to protect kids from sexual predators would be to keep them away from bikers and rock musicians, the organizers of today's Rock Safe beg to differ. The aim of the event, which includes both riding and rocking, is to help teach teens and pre-teens to use social networking sites such as MySpace responsibly. Sponsored by the Houston social site MyCityRocks and abuse crisis center The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, the day begins at noon with a motorcycle ride from Clear Lake to Fitzgerald's, where the concert starts at 2 p.m. The event's organizers, who will be on hand to raise awareness and distribute information on Net safety, have snagged some major Houston talent, including Arthur Yoria, Sevenfold and skyblue72.
