Tim DeLaughter's ever-sprawling Dallas collective doesn't really traverse any new terrain on their forthcoming Fragile Army, but for those who have become enchanted with their big-band pop arrangements, their live shows are where the magic happens. Even the most miserable of folks will walk away feeling at least a tiny bit of happiness. The robes, the constant chatter about sunshine and DeLaughter's infectious energy make Polyphonic Spree hard to resist. Sure, you might question whether or not you're being recruited for a cult, but if David Bowie's a member, it can't be all bad.
