The voice of Harry Potter stops off in Houston
Published on July 19, 2007
Jim Dale, the voice of the Harry Potter audiobooks, is making only five U.S. stops for Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows, and Houston is one of them. Blue Willow Bookshop bookseller Katie OÂSullivan says, ÂWe are so excited. He has an entire show, heÂs fantastic. HeÂs a very good entertainer. Actually, Dale, who has voiced all seven Harry Potter books, is a record-breaking entertainer -- heÂs in the Guinness Book of World Records for creating ÂMost Character Voices in an Audio Book for the 134 voices he created for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Dale, a Grammy Award winner and successful stage actor, will discuss the process of recording the series, HarryÂs final destiny and more. And if youÂre worried you might be the only adult in a sea of ten-year-olds, donÂt be. OÂSullivan says, ÂAt least as many adults as kids will be at this event, maybe even more.Â
