I first saw this guy at the intersection of Fannin and Alabama. Eventually, he saw me photographing him and stopped to ask why.

"Is this yours?" he asked.

"No, it's not mine," I replied.

"Then why are you taking my picture? Are you a cop?"

"No, I'm not a cop. I'm a newspaper photographer and it's not every day that you see a guy pulling a stroller behind his bike. It's just interesting, that's all."

"Oh, okay. I've been living on the street for 40 years and when someone starts taking my picture, I get nervous."

"I can understand that. Do you mind if I follow you for a little bit and take a few more?"

"No, I don't mind."

Two blocks later, while I was stopped at a red light, he darted into a parking lot across from the Mexican Consulate and hid the stroller in some underbrush.
