“Animal Grossology,”a traveling interactive exhibition, includes yucky displays that fall into one of five categories: Dookie Lovers, Slime Makers, Vomit Munchers, Blood Slurpers and Other Gross Stuff. Kiddos learn interesting facts about what dung beetles eat (you may be able to guess from the name) and bee barf (let’s just say you’ll think twice the next time you put honey in your tea). “Grossology” also includes useful safety information on how to avoid food poisoning and Lyme’s Disease (just to balance out the bee barf, we think). The exhibit is plenty interesting and fun for kids – and maybe even for a few “always ready for a good gross-out” grown-ups who happen to tag along too. Brace yourself for a pretty foul sight.
