Tim Fite

Singer/songwriter jumps from rock to country to hip-hop

Tim Fite is all over the place. His latest album, Over the Counter Culture, which you can download free from his Web site, includes rock, country and hip-hop. The artist doesn’t combine these styles in every track, but rather presents them separately. His rap tracks, such as “It’s All Right Here,” recall the attitude of Eminem and the silliness of MF Doom, while his blues and country tunes sound like G Love or a good version of Everlast. Fans willing to follow Fite on his romps back and forth through the plethora of styles will be rewarded with enjoyable interpretations of each. Get ready for the ride when Fite opens for Ben Kweller.
