Don’t call her self-taught just because she didn’t go to art school. Linda Simien Kelly says she’s got “God-given talent.” Clearly, that’s the case — she’s only been painting with oils for two years, and she’s already opening her second show, “Consequences of Love.” More than just an art show, “Consequences” will be an evening of poetry, music and charity. Poets Tosin & Sayidah, Deep Blu See and Inertia, along with contemporary dancer Shai, are all scheduled to perform, with proceeds benefiting the Sickle Cell Association.
Sat., Sept. 1, 6:30 p.m.
