BooTown’s Grown-Up Storytime

Bring the kid in you, but leave the kids at home

BooTown’s Grown-Up Storytime is like spiked punch — it has just the right combination of naughty and nice. The newly formed theater troupe’s upcoming performance will include six reworked fairy tales. Storytellers and listeners will sit Indian-style in a circle on the magic -carpet, grade school-style, but these naughty narratives are for mature audiences only.

Philip Hays’s The Passion of Saint Lucy chronicles the life of a woman Catholics believe was mutilated, treated horribly and martyred for her Christian beliefs. Other -offerings include Julie Gomez’s R-rated tale, Jack, Jane and It, and Greg Hundemer’s one-man-dressed-as-a-woman show, Aunt Flo’s Country Kibbles ‘n’ Gizzards Kitchen.
Tue., Sept. 18, 8 p.m.
