Cover up in style

Cover your mouth — in art, courtesy of Bomit. The local graffiti artist recently sent out a call to the art community for “Also Known As: A Bandana Art Show.” The show features local, national and international artists including Shepard Fairey, Emily Strange, Logan Hicks, GONZO247, Dual, Christian Azul, YAR!, Meat and Give Up offering their take on the bandana. The designs range from basic graffiti patterns to those that make the bandana’s wearer look like half his face is a skull (did somebody say great Halloween gift idea?) The show will also include live screen printing and music by DJ Witnes. Take cover (get it?) today at 7 p.m. at Winter Street Studios, 2101 Winter Street. The show runs today and tomorrow. For information, call 713-526-6624 or visit www.bomit.com/aka.htm. Free
