Dances for the Seasons of LifeAd Deum gets seriousBy Lee WilliamsPublished on October 24, 2007 at 1:41amContemporary dance becomes a very serious matter this weekend with Ad Deum Dance Company’s presentation of Dances for the Seasons of Life. Themes such as injustice, loneliness, and being strong in the midst of chaos will be explored during the evening of four dances choreographed by an impressive array of folks. The Long Journey Home comes from Hope Boykin of Alvin Ailey’s dance troupe, while Buried Alive is from German choreographer Loreen Fajgel. Reconcile My Heart by Randall Flinn features Elton John’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me” and Adouma (Life) by Steve Rooks, former principal dancer with Martha Graham, will have its premiere at today’s show. 8 p.m. Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex, 2201 Preston.
