Given the hoopla over the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences decision to host the Lucy fossil, maybe the best way to get a scare out of the curators and staff at todays Skeleton and Spirits 2007 party is to put on a traditional neTela and go as a citizen of Ethiopia decrying the plundering of your rich natural history by the Great Satan. Or you could ruffle up your hair, put on some dorky glasses, don a lab coat and go as a conservation archeologist. That ought to send a tingle down their spines. Even if you go with the usual vampire, werewolf or sexy nurse, Skeleton and Spirits should be a blast, as it features free food, music from Houstons best Beatles tribute band The Fab Five and a cash bar always a great idea around a collection of priceless artifacts. 8 p.m. One Hermann Circle Drive, in Hermann Park. For tickets and information, call 713-639-4629 or visit www.hmns.org. $13 to $15.
