The Scene

The Alley Theatre’s Neuhaus Stage opens its season with the Theresa Rebeck comedy The Scene. The play follows a group of New Yorkers who work in the entertainment industry. There’s Charlie, an out-of-work actor, Stella, his television producer wife, and Clea, a fresh-off-the-farm beauty, all of whom live in a world where talent is secondary to the right party invitation. Previews begin today; opening night is Wednesday, October 31. 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; additional 2:30 p.m. Saturday performances.
