"Tom of Finland: Drawings from the '70s and '80s" It's art, it's porn, it's both! Tom of Finland's homoerotic drawings from the '70s and '80s are on view at Inman Gallery. Tom (born Touko Laaksonen) served in the Finnish army during WWII and developed a thing for men in uniform. Growing up next door to the Soviet Union no doubt influenced his drawing style. His drawings are peopled with burly men built like the ironworkers from socialist realist propaganda posters, and his protagonists are engaged in a wide range of guy-on-guy(s) action. Tom began exhibiting his work in the '70s, and his drawings from the period are intertwined with pre-AIDS leather culture. A cult favorite, Tom's work has now become the subject of glossy coffee-table books. Through November 24. 3901 Main, 713-526-7800. — KK
