The 18th Annual Noise for Toys at McGon-igel’s Mucky Duck is a collision of honky-tonk rock and roll and a great cause, the Marine Corps’s Toys for Tots program. Admission to the show is one new, unwrapped kid’s toy. So, for the price of a Tonka truck or a Barbie doll, you get a power-packed lineup. Donate a Scrabble game and enjoy an evening’s worth of great music.

Performing will be Cirby Ryan (think Patsy Cline meets Etta James), Harry Fish String Band (Texas by way of Appalachia) and Kimberly M’Carver (with what our own John Nova Lomax called “a sitting-on-the-beach-house-porch-in-a-breezy-sunset ambience”). Jack Saunders, Ezra Charles, John Evans, Sugar Bayou, Moodafaruka and Liz Dannemiller are also on the bill. As if that weren’t enough, a couple of hunky Marines in full-dress uniform will be on hand to make sure you cough up your donation. 7 p.m. 2425 Norfolk. For information, call 713-528-5999 or visit www.mcgonigels.com. Free (with donated toy).
