That dull roar of pounding hooves downtown won’t be coming from eight tiny reindeer, but from the hundreds of human beings participating in the 2007 Jingle Bell Run & Walk. Benefiting the downtown YMCA, the annual Christmas calorie-reducer features a Kids Fun Run, a five-mile run, and a three-mile Single & Family Walk for all levels of fitness. The racing packet includes a T-shirt, antler hat and jingle bells, so anyone can indulge their inner reindeer during the time of year when the most famous Rudolph doesn’t go by the last name of Giuliani. Noon. Starting line at 1600 Louisiana. For information, call 713-659-8501 or visit www.jinglebellrun.org. $8 to $80.
Sun., Dec. 9, noon, 2007
