A Tuna Christmas

This is so not your grandma’s Christmas

Tuna is not exactly Christmas fare, unless you’re Joe Sears and Jaston Williams. The pair of cross-dressing, fun-loving knuckleheads, who play every role in the much-loved Tuna series, have brought their crazy antics to Galveston with A Tuna Christmas. This December installment about the ridiculous denizens of Tuna, Texas, the mythical third-largest town in the Lone Star State, features a nefarious plot about the terrible destruction of local holiday displays. Meet Didi, the local seller of used guns, her husband R.R., who thinks UFOs will save him from his marriage, and Aunt Pearl, who poisons trespassing poodles. The whole gang will be there at The Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice Street in Galveston, at 8 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturdays, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sundays. Through December 16. For information, call 800-821-1894 or visit www.thegrand.com. $11 to $45.
Dec. 11-14, 8 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 15, 2 & 8 p.m.; Sun., Dec. 16, 2 & 7 p.m., 2007
