The MFAH opens the only museum gallery of Korean art in the Southwest

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston has pulled off another coup — through an agreement with the National Museum of Korea, the MFAH is showing “Arts of Korea,” an exhibit of rare art and objects spanning 5,000 years. Highlights include a rare gold crown from the Silla Kingdom; ceramics, including a turtle-shaped ewer from the Goryeo dynasty; and a comb-pattern jar from the Neolithic period. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 12:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
