Café Tacuba

Café Tacuba bring their seemingly bottomless musical grab bag to Warehouse Live Sunday.
Café Tacuba bring their seemingly bottomless musical grab bag to Warehouse Live Sunday.

Sometimes referred to as the Mexican Radiohead, the seasoned veterans of Mexico City's Café Tacuba have stuck together for nearly two decades thanks to an uncompromising vision that's consistently incorporating new influences, from hip-hop to New Wave to Mexican folk. Onstage, vocalist Rubén Albarrán comes out with his trademark oversize bowler hat, while fans respond to the band's music by emotionally singing along, dancing and waving the Mexican flag. Café Tacuba, whose four-man lineup has not changed since the members first met in college, will give crowds a powerful chronicle of its canon Sunday, including songs from brand-new Universal Latino LP Sino and older favorites like "Flores," "Déjate Caer" and "Eres," their Latin Grammy-winning love ballad.
