“Fragile Nature: The Photography of Joel Sartore”

A photographer for National Geographic takes a look at endangered species

Joel Sartore has a dream job — he goes around the world to exotic, far-flung locations photographing wildlife for National Geographic. Now you can see some of his best shots in “Fragile Nature: The Photography of Joel Sartore.” Much of Sartore’s work over the last 16 years has focused on endangered species, and several of those images are on display here, including stunning photos of jaguars, grizzly bears and gray wolves in all their wild magnificence. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Through February 10, 2008. Houston Museum of Natural Science, One Hermann Circle Drive, in Hermann Park. For tickets and information, call 713-639-4629 or visit www.hmns.org. $7 to $9.
