The latest extravaganza from the Magic Kingdom is Playhouse Disney Live on Stage. Featuring characters from the Disney Channel’s “Playhouse Disney” block of programming for preschoolers, the show gives tykes a chance to see their favorites from The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and the new show My Friend Tigger and Pooh. The plot involves a big party that Mickey wants to throw; he enlists his cohorts to create musical numbers (what’s a party without entertainment?) and gather party supplies. Who gets the job of securing a keg? Will Minnie pop out of a cake wearing nothing but that big bow in her hair? No. But take your kids anyway today at 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Toyota Center, 1510 Polk. For tickets and information, call 866-4HOUTIX or visit www.houstontoyotacenter.com. $18 to $33.
