XXXmas: BooTown’s Sexy Christmas

Bring sexy back to Christmas — or not. Emily Hynds says either way, you’ll be welcome at XXXmas: BooTown’s Sexy Christmas. “We certainly don’t want to deter anybody who would not want to come because they’re afraid of that,” Hynds says of the theme. “A lot of people have been asking, “Do I have to wear sexy clothes?” she says. “I think it’s more just sexy in your heart.” Hmm, well, we’re not exactly sure what that means, but hey, our back pages prove sexy can come from just about anywhere — so, party on! Whether or not you decide to get naughty for the holidays, you can still be nice — after all, it’s for charity. Proceeds from the event will help fund future productions of BooTown’s Grown-up Storytimes. The series of offbeat fairy tales has helped the local theater collective make a name for itself in the underground art scene, so go raise a glass (and maybe your skirt) to help out.

Hynds says music will be provided by the BooTown crew (“We consider ourselves pretty good DJs”). There will also be a scavenger hunt, a Sexy Santa for photos and, we’re guessing, plenty of mistletoe. Hynds says the entry fee includes beer and spiced wine, so no need to BYOB: “[It’s] all-you-can-drink, just B-Y-$10.” 9 p.m. BooTown House, 2040 Columbia Street.
