Though hip moms have traded in 2 a.m. last calls for 2 a.m. breast feedings, there’s no reason they can’t still get their groove on with their rugrats at Baby Loves Disco (rugrats are defined here as children between ages six months and seven years). Catching on in clubs throughout the country, BLD parties feature live DJs spinning ‘70s and ‘80s tunes for energy-fueled tots to boogie-oogie-oogie to on the dance floor while learning the subtleties of the Village People’s sound. There are snacks and even a “chill-out room” with tents, games and puzzles for kiddos who might need a break. Houston “Host Mommy” and mother-of-three Cheryl Miller was “blown away” by the response to the sold-out inaugural party in September, and more events are already planned. 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today. Rich’s, 2401 San Jacinto. For more information, e-mail info@babylovesdisco.com or visit www.babylovesdisco.com. $12 per “walking human”; non-walkers free.
