One Pot ShowdownSaint Arnold Brewery is hosting a cook-off that we so hope will include sheep nutsBy Nick KepplerPublished on January 23, 2008 at 1:40amStew, chili, chicken and dumplings, roast, and potatoes these are some of the dishes Saint Arnold Brewing Company is suggesting culinary wizards create for its One Pot Showdown today. The cook-off contest has only one stipulation: The recipe has to include one of Saint Arnolds famous brews. Were got a few suggestions of our own: Why not simmer some animelles de moutons frites, a French dish made from sheep testicles, in a stew of Saint Arnold Winter Stout? Or whip up some káu-bah, the Taiwanese variation of dog meat, with a splash of Saint Arnold Brown Ale? Get crazy, people, and make the judges feel like theyre the ones being tested. Sampling starts at 1 p.m. 2522 Fairway Park Drive. For tickets and information, call 713-686-9494 or www.saintarnold.com. $15.
