Fans of Chappelle’s Show and Best Week Ever will recognize Christian Finnegan — if not by name, by face. The comedian played the “crazy” white roommate on the Chappelle’s Show parody skit “The Mad Real World,” and always has a clever quip about celebrities on Best Week Ever. He’s also made a name for himself behind the microphone exploring topics such as how to end annoying conversations (his answer: show them your makeout face), how technology helps him avoid adult responsibilities and why Monopoly champions will be more successful than Trivial Pursuit experts. “It even tells you right in the title: Trivial,” he says in one bit. “It says, ‘Hey jackass, your pursuits are trivial. You will never own a home.’”

He admits to being better at the trivia, but we’re guessing that in his case, things are working out okay. Finnegan has managed to gain a following in the comedy world, and it’s not just because of his pretty face. When we mention this to him in a telephone interview, he asks, “I’m sorry, are you talking about me?” He continues, “Feel free to print how good-looking I am as many times as you want. There’s really no [response] that won’t make me sound like a douchebag.”

Finnegan says his craft has been influenced by the fact that growing up, his pudgy frame and dorky demeanor had kids calling him everything but attractive. He says that as a result, he’s the type of comedian who’s in the business not to be the center of attention, but to settle a score. “My whole comedy career is just me trying to get back at five or six kids I grew up with.” 8:30 p.m. today; 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
