The inaugural Cirque du SoGay (the title kinda gives it away, doesn’t it?) at Numbers Nightclub features Kings N Things, the drag kings of Austin, and Chelsea Luna, of the local puppet theater troupe Bobbindoctrin, who’ll present her puppet play Sealu’s Shadow, which, according to the puppeteer/playwright, “concerns itself with drag, gender/queer quantum physics and fire-dancing.” Rounding out the evening, the Houston Gendermyn, the area’s premiere gender-bending performers, have promised balloon animals, “unicorn rides” and “queer juggling.” To find out how “queer juggling” differs from, uh, heterosexual juggling, you’ll have to show up and see for yourself at 9 p.m. 300 West-heimer. For information, call 713-303-8148 or visit www.numbersnightclub.com. $10.
