Whose Life Is It Anyway?

Theater for your mind

Though it first opened on Broadway back in the mid-1970s, Brian Clark's Whose Life Is It Anyway? deals with questions we continue to puzzle over in the new millennium. At the center of the story is a sculptor who was paralyzed in a car crash. He sees no other alternative than to go home and die; his doctors, of course, disagree. The script focuses on a moral question that continues to haunt our collective morality: Should individuals be allowed to choose death? Thought-provoking, poignant, funny and rich with political power, Whose Life Is It Anyway? will evoke heated after-theater conversations, as good plays should. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Through March 1. Houston Community College Central, Theatre One, 3517 Austin. For information, call 713-718-6570 or visit www.centralfinearts.info. $5 to $8.
Feb. 21-23, 8 p.m.; Feb. 28-March 1, 8 p.m., 2008
