Get a sneak peak at the new downtown park Discovery Green and enjoy a stellar lineup of music at One for Doc, a concert honoring HSPVA Director of Jazz Studies Emeritus Dr. Robert Morgan. Dozens of ex-HSPVA’ers will take the stage during the show, including Warren Sneed, Brandon Lee, Everette Harp and Keith Vivens. International headliner Al Jarreau and Houston’s own La Mafia will also appear. (Jarreau will be joined by alum Mark Simmons, and La Mafia will feature former students Michael Aguilar and Tim Ruiz.) Scott Gertner will emcee the event. Festivities start at 6 p.m. (Al Jarreau is scheduled to take the stage at 10 p.m.) Anheuser-Busch Amphitheater, 1500 McKinney.
