Bone Thugs-n-Harmony

‘90s hip-hoppers return to tha stage

It’s time to wake up, wake up, wake up: Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are going onstage. For those twenty- and thirtysomethings who’ve forgotten, Bone Thugs were all over MTV and the radio in the ‘90s with “1st of tha Month” and “Tha Crossroads.” These hits might not have garnered any spelling-bee trophies, but they did help capture a few Grammy, American Music and MTV Video Music awards.

All this success couldn’t keep the Cleveland quintet out of trouble — Bizzy Bone and Flesh-n-Bone parted ways with the group after troubles with alcohol and the law, respectively. But after a five-year hiatus, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Wish Bone regrouped and penned 2007’s Strength & Loyalty. The album helped prove the trio still had bone-a-fide talent with a No. 2 debut on the Billboard charts. See them keep tha momentum up when they close, taking the stage today after The Pack and Kenika. 8 p.m. Warehouse Live, 813 St. Emanuel. For tickets and information, call 713-225-5483 or visit www.warehouselive.com. $20.
Sun., March 9, 8 p.m., 2008
