St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Griff’s Shenanigans celebrates St. Paddy’s

Griff’s Shenanigans, Houston’s oldest sports bar, is the unofficial headquarters of all things St. Paddy’s. In past celebrations, their five-day St. Patrick’s Day Festival included a lot of kilts, ten-foot-tall leprechauns and, inexplicably, a number of blow-up dolls. In addition to the drinking and ah, more drinking, there’s a golf tournament and an Irish stew cookoff. On Monday, there’s live music all day, including the Zydeco Dots. (Irish Cajuns? Who knew?) 3416 Roseland. For a full schedule, call 713-528-9912 or visit www.griffshouston.com. Price varies by event; Monday’s celebration is $10 to $15.
