One company is three years old; another is 125. But age isn’t a priority at Dance Salad 2008 — only diversity, ingenuity and the very finest of dance. For this year’s 13th installment, producer Nancy Henderek has assembled a tremendously international, star-studded roster, including the three-year-old Beijing LDTX Modern Dance Company — the first independent, nongovernment-subsidized dance company in China — and the 125-year-old National Theatre Ballet of Prague, which will perform Stamping Ground. Also on the bill is Czech choreographer Jirí Kylián’s landmark ballet based on his experiences with aboriginal Australians.

This international showcase includes performances by the National Ballet of Canada, Poland’s Marcin Krajewski and Japan’s Makoto Matsushima, along with companies from Germany, New York and the Netherlands. The lineup will vary over the three nights, so true dance fanatics might want to attend more than once. 7:30 p.m. Through March 22. Wortham Center, 501 Texas. For tickets and information, call 877-772-5425 or visit www.dancesalad.org. $19 to $47.
Thu., March 20, 7:30 p.m.; Fri., March 21, 7:30 p.m.; Sat., March 22, 7:30 p.m., 2008
