Hot Child in Hollywood

BooTown is talking ‘bout bad girls

The never-ending saga of celebrity gals gone wild hits the stage in Hot Child in Holly-wood. Local playwright Greg Hundemer of the BooTown Theatre troupe penned this tale about Tenley, a modest Midwestern teen who wins a contest to hang out with her Hollywood idol. Plenty of adult situations ensue as Tenley discovers that her role model, Kelsie, is not the polite priss she plays on the big screen. She introduces Tenley to the Hollywood lifestyle, including plenty of booze, cigarettes and sex with older co-stars. Who knew fame could turn girls bad? Oh yeah, everybody. BooTown’s talent for the off-the-wall ensures that this show will go beyond E!’s imagination. 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Through March 22. Midtown Art Center, 3414 La Branch. For information, call 713-521-3097 or visit www.myspace.com/bootowntheatre. $7 to $10.
March 20-22, 8 p.m., 2008
