Roel Flores pays tribute to farmworkers
Published on April 03, 2008
For painter Roel Flores, music and farmwork go hand in hand. The music, he says, is inspiration to keep working. His exhibit La Labor shows the farmworkers both in and out of the fields. The painting Valerio Longoria depicts an accordion player. The bright orange background contrasts with the mans brown skin and shirt, and his red suspenders match his accordion perfectly. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Through June 8. Talento Bilingüe de Houston, 333 South Jensen. For information, call 713-222-1213 or visit www.tbhcenter.com. Free.
