Richard Dressler’s play Rounding Third shows us that Little League is a serious business — at least to the parents. The comedy follows a year in the lives of two parent coaches as they try to reconcile their differing philosophies when it comes to baseball (and life, actually). Both have the same goal: They want their sons’ team to succeed. But success, for veteran coach Don, means winning at all costs (he knows the real world doesn’t give adults any consolation trophies). Newbie Michael just wants the kids to have a good time. It’s a lighthearted show, but it just might give you something to think about the next time you’re in the bleachers. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays, and 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Through April 20. Stages Repertory Theatre, 3201 Allen Parkway. For tickets and information, call 713–527–0123 or visit www.stagestheatre.com. $26 to $36.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m.; Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: April 4. Continues through April 20, 2008
