Susanna and Will

Shakespeare’s daughter sorts rumor from reality in this play about the Bard

Local playwright Diana Howie gives us a different take on Shakespeare in Susanna and Will. Shakespeare’s daughter Susanna has to sort reality from rumor not only to save her father’s tattered reputation but to find out the truth about her family. And she won’t be getting a lot of help, since Shakespeare lived in an era when many people believed plays caused plagues and actors were only a half step above murderers and thieves. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Through April 19. Country Playhouse, 12802 Queensbury Lane. For tickets and information, call 713–467–4497 or visit www.countryplayhouse.org. $10.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2:30 p.m. Starts: April 4. Continues through April 13, 2008
