Une Soirée Pelouse: A Garden Party, a fund-raiser for the Houston GLBT Community Center, has a strict dress-code policy. Patrons are required to sport Moulin Rouge-inspired attire. In exchange, you’re rewarded with an open bar (sweet) and musical performances by Jenna Drey, Eric Alan and DJ Mark D, with Anita Bump, who won the 2007 Best of Houston® Readers Choice award for Best Drag Queen, as emcee. So, girls, get your fishnets and high heels ready, and boys, um, do the same. 2 to 6 p.m. Rich’s, 2401 San Jacinto. For tickets and information, call 713-407-9701 or visit www.myspace.com/agardenparty. $25 general admission; $50 to $250 VIP packages.
