The influential 80s artist/fashion designer/filmmaker Maripol is known for her candid Polaroid snaps of New Yorks underground art scene. She photographed Deborah Harry, Grace Jones, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Patti Astor and Madonna. The exhibit Maripolarama: Perverse City features some of these photos blown up to larger sizes which reveal the party lifestyle of the eras artistic set.
