More About

Did you know that fresh urine is cleaner than spit? That it’s also cleaner than the skin on your face? How about that people who live in big cities make more earwax than those in the country? And who knew the average human’s skin weighs seven pounds? Find out more of these lovely facts at “Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body.” The exhibit will feature interactive stations explaining how the human body’s secretions work and why. You and your kids can step into Tour du Nose to find out what’s going on up there, pay a visit to Burp Man to see how stomach pressure causes him to belch, and crawl through the GI Slide to check out a 3-D portrayal of food digestion. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Through September 1. Health Museum, 1515 Hermann Drive. For tickets and information, call 713-942-7054 or visit www.thehealthmuseum.org. $5 to $6.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: May 24. Continues through Sept. 1, 2008
