Bering & James Gallery marks a milestone
Published on July 03, 2008
Well known for their vivid, vibrant painting, artists Blakely Bering and Austin James have also found success as dealers through their Bering & James Gallery. The gallery is hosting a milestone exhibit titled simply 100th (its their 100th show). The exhibit, appropriately, features work by Bering and James. Expect ultra-colorful, emotional abstractions from Bering, who creates her own oil paints using powdered pigments and crushed metals. James also deals in abstractions; his coils and splashes of color use both paint and mixed media to reach their energetic crescendos. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Through July 9. 805 Rhode Place #500. For information, call 713-524-0101 or visit www.beringandjames.com. Free.
Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: July 12. Continues through Aug. 14, 2008
