“Go for the Gold”

The Children’s Museum of Houston celebrates the Olympic spirit

Think your kid deserves a gold medal just for being a great kid? Well, she can get one at the Children’s Museum of Houston’s Go for the Gold WonderWeek. There’s a Spotlight Performance by ribbon dancer Olesya Webb to start things off. Kids will also enjoy Dance Dance Revolution, a fast-paced game that lets kids show off their skills. They can visit interactive stations such as the One Meter Walk, the Wheel of Fitness and Big Foot Was Here. And everyone will make-and-take a gold medal of their own. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. 1500 Binz. For tickets and a complete schedule, call 713-522-1138 or visit www.cmhouston.org. $4 to $5.
