Bliss is a comedic play about the pursuit of the American dream set in a drug-induced Leave It to Beaver land. The avant-garde Looking asks viewers to examine their own thoughts as solo and paired dancers perform minute, everyday tasks around them. Onslaught is a sonic experience that starts with a heartbeat and ends with inaudible screaming. Match Cripple, a theatrical drama/comedy, follows a -wheelchair-bound celibate on a quest to end her dry spell. Calumet features dancers revisiting the past 777,600 minutes to the tunes of Michael Andrews, Ani DiFranco and Ugly Casanova. The Penis Chronicles is a Vagina Monologues-like take on the male psyche. There will also be a screening of a series of surreal short films exploring death, failure and redemption, courtesy of Rob Smith, whom you might have seen at the Aurora Picture Show or the Texas Shorts Festival. And these are just the shows for this weekend!
