Catch Madama Butterfly performed by Opera in the Heights in the intimate Lambert Hall. One of Giacomo Puccinis most famous and woeful works, Madama Butterflychronicles the unrequited and naive love 15-year-old geisha Cio-Cio-San, also called Butterfly, has for the American soldier who marries and then heartlessly abandons her in Nagasaki, Japan. Butterfly reveals her happiness and heartache in powerful arias against moving music leading to the operas dramatic conclusion.
